The spawn efficiency is proportional to the moon phase.

In this case, they only spawn at night and with a light level of 7 or less.

Slimes also spawn in Swamp and Mangrove Swamp biomes independent of slime chunks.

Their location is calculated independently of the value of world seed not as in Java.

Slimes spawn in specific chunks, so-called “slime chunks”, on a height level of 39 or less, and with any light levels.
